In this long awaited update, we've made several updates to the enclosures category of our API's calculation engine.
Enclosures takeoff schema
We're introducing a new unified schema that takes the API's handling of parametric assemblies and adds the ability to add custom assemblies into one, consistent structure.
In a parametric assembly, users select cladding, glazing, and roofing subassemblies. The API then automatically expands these choices into material-level components and returns material-based emissions with no extra steps needed.
In a custom assembly, users can define each component directly with full control. Users can choose a specific material, quantity, and other properties such as material origin and/or service life.
This schema mirrors the logic and workflow from the earlier "structure" category release in 2.53.00.
